BAFTA Announces 2025 Games Awards Nominees: A World of Fun and Creativity
The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) has just announced the nominees for the 2025 Games Awards! This is a big deal in the gaming world, and this year’s nominations are super exciting. Over 1,300 BAFTA members helped pick the best games from a long list of 58. The ceremony is on April 8, and it’s going to be amazing!

The Animation category has some really cool games. *Astro Bot*, *Call of Duty: Black Ops 6*, *LEGO Horizon Adventures*, *Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2*, *Thank Goodness You’re Here*, and *Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2* are all nominated. These games have amazing visuals and stories!
Artistic Achievement
In the Artistic Achievement category, the games with stunning visuals and cool art styles are *Astro Bot*, *Black Myth: Wukong*, *Harold Halibut*, *Neva*, *Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2*, *Still Wakes The Deep*, *Vampire Survivors*, and *World of Warcraft*.
Family and Game Beyond Entertainment
The Family category has games that everyone can enjoy. *Astro Bot*, *Cat Quest 3*, *LEGO Horizon Adventures*, *Little Kitty, Big City*, *The Plucky Squire*, and *Super Mario Party Jamboree* are all nominated. The Game Beyond Entertainment category has games that do more than just entertain. *Botany Manor*, *Kind Words 2 (LOFI CITY POP)*, *Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2*, and *Tales of Kenzera: ZAU* are all pushing the boundaries of gaming!
Performance Categories
Guess what? Most of the performances nominated are from actors who are new to BAFTA! Isn’t that cool? Alec Newman in *Still Wakes The Deep* and Melina Juergens in *Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2* are among the nominees.
